Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy can improve your quality of life.

At RedoHealth, we take a holistic approach, addressing not only the physical aspects of your wellbeing but also your mental health.

We provide support at all stages of healthcare, including prevention, education, intervention, rehabilitation, and treatment. We also utilise leading approaches to physio including ConnectTherapy™ and the Thoracic Ring Approach™.

Physiotherapy can help you:

We use ConnectTherapy™, which includes the Thoracic Ring Approach™, to assess your whole body to find the underlying cause of your injury. This process allows us to find the “driver” behind your pain and dysfunction. Your assessment and treatment are designed to improve your quality of life and performance. Finding your driver allows us to deliver effective manual therapy and give you targeted exercises for the best outcome.

At RedoHealth, your physiotherapy treatment will often include manual therapy, such as myofascial release, joint, soft tissue, nerve mobilisation, and manipulation. These techniques address your impairments, restore mobility and optimise health and recovery.

Physio can help patients at all stages of life whose function and activities are impacted by:

  • Orthopaedic issues: back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, lower back pain, foot conditions, sciatica, knee conditions, bone and joint problems and sports injuries
  • Neurological concerns: multiple sclerosis, neuropathy (nerve damage), vertigo (feeling dizzy/off-balanced), Parkinson’s disease, cerebral palsy, stroke, concussion
  • Autoimmune conditions: fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis
  • Chronic conditions: asthma, diabetes, obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure

Depending on your unique requirements, your physiotherapist will offer treatments that will include one or more of these:

When you attend an appointment, you will asked to engage in some physical movement.

Your physiotherapist will review your records at your first appointment and get a complete movement/exercise history. We may also review any X-rays and other tests you may have, so please bring any relevant ones along. We will ask you questions about your medical history, lifestyle, and the illness or injury that we are treating.

You will likely be asked to walk, bend, and do other simple tasks, which allow us to assess your physical capabilities and limitations. We will then discuss a customised physical therapy program with you.

At follow-up appointments, you will usually have specific exercises or movements to perform. During your physiotherapy session, the activities you perform are part of the program created to help you reach your wellness and recovery goals.
