Whole-body health

“Health is a state of complete mental, social and physical wellbeing, not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” – World Health Organization, 1948

Physiotherapy for whole-body health:

To achieve whole-body health, you need to take a 360-degree approach to wellness. This involves nurturing your physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual health. The goal is to thrive, not merely survive. At RedoHealth, we are here to support you on your journey to total body and mind health and wellness.

Benefits of a whole-body wellness approach

It’s essential to look at your health holistically; everything is connected and interrelated. If one part is impacted, it can have a flow-on effect on your overall wellbeing. By paying attention to your body’s needs and working on all areas of your health, including your physical, mental and emotional wellness, you can achieve higher levels of vitality and overall health. Total body wellness is essential to prevent disease, reduce the risk of chronic and acute injuries, successfully treat existing conditions and become a more productive and happier person.

The team at RedoHealth can help you improve your physical wellbeing and work alongside other practitioners to address your whole-body health. Instead of simply trying to fix problems, a total body wellness approach aims to improve overall wellbeing and prevent future health concerns. The benefits of a total body wellness approach include:

Movement for the benefit mind and body

Mindful movement is an integral part of whole-body health. Regular, mindful movement can improve sleep, reduce pain, increase flexibility and strength, reduce stress, improve energy and mental function. Everyone is invited to experience the benefits of mindful movement at RedoHealth.

Our accredited exercise physiologist Kyle Cox runs open gym sessions for clients designed to improve strength, fitness, mobility and decrease health and chronic disease risk factors.

Complementary therapies for whole-body health

This treatment involves the insertion of very fine, sterile needles (with minimal or no discomfort) into the skin’s surface at specific points all over the body to stimulate nerves, muscles and connective tissue, boosting the body’s natural painkillers and promoting a healing response. Acupuncture can ease pain, calm nausea, improve sleep, support digestive function, reduce inflammation, boost immunity, and relieve stress while promoting healing and balance in the body.

One of the immediate benefits of massage is a feeling of deep relaxation and calm. In addition, massage prompts the release of endorphins – the feel-good hormones that produce feelings of wellbeing. For many healthy people without chronic conditions, massage is simply enjoyable. However, for others living with pain, recovering from soft tissue injuries, or dealing with joint dysfunction, massage provides much-needed pain relief and health benefits. The massage therapists at RedoHealth specialise in deep tissue massage, myofascial release and cupping.

Physiotherapy to support whole-body health

Our team of physiotherapists take a whole-body approach to treatment. By assessing posture, spinal alignment and movement, our practitioners can identify barriers to pain-free movement and use various therapeutic techniques for immediate relief and injury prevention.

Treatments may include; manual therapy and hands-on techniques, such as myofascial release, joint, soft tissue, nerve mobilisation, and manipulation. These techniques address your impairments, restore mobility and optimise health and recovery.

We have a range of tools available for you to maximise your treatments at home. Our online classes offer something for every fitness and skill level. Our online store has a range of stretch and therapy support products.
