Brendan has a great love for the outdoors, fresh air and fresh food. He likes to start the morning with exercise, meditation and a run with his dogs. His passion lies in helping people get back to doing the things they love to do.
Brendan focuses on the Why more than the What – Why did this injury occur?
He completed a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics at the University of Victoria and a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto, where he went on to be an Instructor of clinical education of Physical Therapy.
In 2010 he moved to Sydney where he had the fortune of working with world renowned Dr LJ Lee, training in the Thoracic Ring Approach™ and ConnectTherapy™. In 2016 he completed the ConnectTherapy series and then went on to assist the Series in 2017. Brendan is currently undertaking a ConnectTherapy certification program under Dr LJ Lee.
LJ’s approach covers the whole body and how it is interconnected, exploring the cause and impact of these connections. Once you understand the ‘why’, you can develop new strategies for optimal movement.
These practices now dictate Brendan’s approach to physiotherapy and the services he provides. He calls it looking for ‘the wow’, when you fix the why, your patient lets out a ‘wow’.
He believes in treating the whole person rather than individual parts.
In October 2022, Brendan completed his ConnectTherapy™ Practitioner Certification with Dr LJ Lee, to be come one of the five Certified Practitioners in Australia.
Brendan’s Clinic Days: Tuesday to Saturday.
