Brendan McGovern

Clinic Director & Principal Physiotherapist

MScPT, BScHK, MAPA

Brendan is passionate about helping people reconnect with the activities and lifestyle they love—whether that’s returning to sport, keeping up with family, or simply moving with more ease and confidence.

With a background in Human Kinetics (University of Victoria) and a Master’s in Physical Therapy (University of Toronto), Brendan brings both clinical depth and a strong curiosity to his practice. He’s driven by one key question: Why is this happening? By understanding the underlying drivers of pain or dysfunction, he helps people move forward with lasting change.

Brendan takes a whole-body, whole-person approach to care. Rather than focusing solely on the site of pain, he looks at how different areas of the body and movement systems work together—and how patterns of compensation, past injuries, and daily habits can influence overall function.

His work is grounded in advanced training in the ConnectTherapy™ and Thoracic Ring Approach™ frameworks. In 2022, Brendan became one of only five Certified ConnectTherapy™ Practitioners in Australia. These tools help him uncover meaningful connections in the body and guide people toward “aha” moments that unlock better movement and greater confidence.

A firm believer in practicing what he teaches, Brendan starts most mornings with movement—whether it’s strength training, mobility work, or getting outside with his two dogs. He values fresh air, consistency, and the mental reset that comes from staying active, and brings that same energy and enthusiasm to every session.

Brendan’s Clinic Days: Tuesday to Saturday.
